Alistair Williamson MBA is the founder of Truckepedia.
He has spent nearly 50 years in commercial vehicles. He began as a Product Development Engineer with Bedford at Millbrook Proving Ground, then spent 15 years with Scania (Great Britain) at its Milton Keynes head office. He was Marketing Director of MAN Truck & Bus UK in Swindon for six years, then VP Worldwide Marketing for MAN Truck & Bus in Munich, where he coined "Trucknology", the name behind MAN's TG truck range.
For the last 20 years he has worked as a business consultant in road transport. He is co-author of The Road to Zero Emissions (Kogan Page, 2020).
Truckepedia is the UK road transport directory. It lists every licensed goods vehicle operator in the UK, built from official DVSA records and kept up to date, alongside the dealers, workshops and suppliers who serve them. Operators can claim their listing, correct it and show customers who they are. Dealers and suppliers can find the operators in their area.
